This show was a continuation on a theme, turning some small drawings into larger paintings and large scale collage studies using mat board, oil paint and laser cutting hand drawn body shapes. It was also about incorporating wall covering (handmade and screen printed) into the overall experience/context of view the art. It was a way to get to the next point of experimentation. Finish an idea, move on to the next. I was lucky to have the show in an incredible studio space where wonderful things are being made by Amanda Valentine. She has an incredible vision and her commitment to art and the community is inspiring. A highlight of the show, for me, was creating a block printed textile that Amanda then created adorable crop-top shirts from. Functional art.

I was commissioned to create custom wallpaper for the bathrooms at Nashville favorite, Dozen Bakery. The "Hands" wallpaper was created with my friend and collaborator, Kelly Diehl. We wanted the bathrooms to be bold (unrest-rooms) and in contrast to the space's open and white-walled cleanliness. We hand painted wallpaper sheets and worked with the idea of deconstructed patterning to create the final look. The wallpaper was printed by the wonderful folks at Grand Palace in Nashville, TN.
Flag Day, an under celebrated holiday and opportunity for art. Flag Day Flag Show was a one day only group show that I organized at Club Roar.
Infinity Cat Records was gracious enough to host my artwork featuring portraits of the legendary vocal group Take 6 as well as an assortment of tasteful nudes.
This is a private home commission for a hand painted mural in Nashville, TN. It include elements of hand painted and pasted paper.
For 4 years I worked at Isle of Printing under the tutelage of Bryce McCloud. During those 4 years, I helped complete several large scale projects including but not limited to:
- Our Town Nashville: A 2.5 year, city wide public art project
- Pinewood Social Canwall: A large scale art installation made from cans with letterpress printed product labels
- Barista Parlor Cloudwall: Another large scale art installation made of thousands of letterpressed origami boxes and formed in a deconstructed cloud formation.
